Restaurants in Finland

No single city dominates the Finnish list. Kuopio (12) and Helsinki (11) lead, ahead of Oulu, Rovaniemi, Seinäjoki and Jyväskylä, but the largest block is Ostrobothnia, from Vaasa, Jakobstad and Kokkola on the coast to inland towns such as Kauhava, Lapua and Alajärvi, with Savo and North Karelia next. Lapland adds Rovaniemi, Sodankylä and the Levi and Ruka ski resorts, while Turku does not appear.

Most kebab shops double as pizzerias, eleven branches of the Kotipizza chain appear, several at petrol stations or supermarkets, and two sushi takeaways, SushiTake in Porvoo and Shiba Sushi in Kouvola, trade from supermarkets. Two thirds of the places list €10–15 per person. In Lapland, reviews of Saigon Noodle Bar in Rovaniemi and Janin Grilli in Pello mention reindeer, and Aarnikota in Sodankylä, open by day from Wednesday to Sunday, is reviewed for crêpes and glühwein. Late hours belong to grill kiosks and pizzerias: Grilli Damaskus on Helsinki's Rautatientori lists 5 PM to 5 AM, and Pizzeria Babilon in Vaasa 10 AM to 6 AM.
