Google Analytics and Google’s consent message
Our pages include Google’s standard code for Google Analytics 4 (the Google tag). Google receives visit and browser/device information to produce statistics about use of this directory and its business profile subdomains. The same Analytics property covers the main domain and its subdomains; g4r.net and g4local.com use separate Analytics properties and separate AdSense accounts. Google may process information on servers outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google’s consent message, provided by Google as a certified consent management platform. Google records your choice and applies it to its Analytics and advertising tags. Where Google’s message provides a privacy and cookie settings link, use it to change your choice; you can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. We do not set cookies of our own on these pages and do not add consent settings of our own to Google’s.
Data retention
Our Analytics properties have event data retention set to 2 months and user data retention set to 14 months. The user-data retention period resets when there is new activity from that user, so repeat visits can extend that period. These settings are separate from the lifetime of Google’s browser cookies. Standard aggregated Google reports are not subject to the same retention setting. See Google’s data retention explanation or contact us about a data request.
Reports and requests
Aggregated Google traffic reports are stored in our administration system, accessible to authorized workspace members. The directory’s own counts use no persistent visitor identifier and remain separate from Google Analytics. Contact us about access, correction or deletion requests; include the relevant page and request details, without passwords or identity documents. We will explain any further information needed to locate a record.
Advertising
The g4r.net main directory, and business profile subdomains where advertising is enabled, show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are placed by Google; they are not endorsements by the listed businesses or by us.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked through Google’s consent message before advertising cookies are used for personalisation; where Google shows a privacy and cookie settings link, it reopens that message. Page views and clicked links
Our measurement records contain the page hostname and path, event type, time and referring hostname. Search strings and URL fragments are excluded. This first-party measurement does not set cookies or assign a persistent visitor identifier. It respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
For searches with no results, we count selected city and category filters and a zero result count. We do not store the text you searched for. Counts describe page views and clicked links, not unique people, completed calls, orders or reservations. A missing referring hostname is recorded as direct or unknown traffic.
Reports
When you submit a correction, business claim or new business suggestion, we store your supplied name, email, optional phone, business details, profile URL and message. Contact details are not published or sent to Google Analytics. Workspace reviewers use that information to investigate the report. Sending a request does not automatically change a business’s details or verification status.
