Turkish in Rome

Istanbul gives its name to nine of these sixteen Turkish kebab shops, and almost half also sell pizza. Late hours are the rule: of the thirteen with listed times, eleven stay open until 1 AM or later, among them Turkish Kebab and Pizza on Piazza dei Giureconsulti (2 AM, 2:30 on Saturdays), Cemo Kebab on Via Nomentana Nuova (3 AM) and Ciro Kebab on Via dei Castani in Centocelle (2 AM, 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays), a counter for kebab, falafel and baklava. Palazzo İstanbul on Via Cavour runs from 8 AM to 2 AM and is the only one listing €10–20 per person; the rest with prices list €1–10. A few widen the menu: Efendi Kebab on Viale di Trastevere also cooks Indian food, Caffe İstanbul on Via Gerolamo Cardano doubles as a café, and reviews of Kebab Turco Dragona mention Turkish dishes and drinks beyond the kebab. In Ostia, Kebab Turco Istanbul is on the Lido station square.
