Restaurants in Amsterdam
100 places in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Just over a third of the Amsterdam listings are in the city centre: on Nieuwendijk and Damrak, in the lanes of the red-light district, on Rozengracht in the Jordaan and around Rembrandtplein. Others are spread through West (Kinkerstraat, Bos en Lommerweg), De Pijp (Albert Cuypstraat, Van Woustraat) and Oost (Dapperstraat, Javastraat), and the densest cluster outside the centre is in Slotermeer, where Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan and Slotermeerlaan have nine places between them, Kebapçı among them.
Kebab shops make up half of the list, and Turkish restaurants such as Ali Ocakbaşı on the Herengracht, bakeries and cafés much of the rest; the exceptions include Meat & Greek, a gyros place on Utrechtsestraat, and Eetsalon De Mol, a pizza place on Molsteeg open from 10 AM to midnight. Of the 44 places with known hours, 17 stay open until 1 AM or later on at least one night, while Atilla Turkish Cuisine on Bos en Lommerweg opens at 7 AM and Florya Restaurant & Cafe on Bos en Lommerplantsoen at 8 AM.
