None of the five bakeries is in the centre. Two share the Şerifoğlu name in Slotermeer: Gaziantep Şerifoğlu on Bernard Loderstraat is open from 8 AM to 10 PM daily, and Şerifoğlu Café & Patisserie on Slotermeerlaan, a pastry café that also serves breakfast, from 9 AM to 1 AM. Simit Paleis on Postjesweg is named after simit, the sesame-crusted bread ring. In Noord, Bakkerij Safir on Mosveld doubles as an eetcafé and opens from 9 AM to 9 PM, and in De Pijp Bakery Eethuis Lavina on Van Woustraat combines a bakery with a snack bar, with prices of €1–10.
