Kebab & Döner in Amsterdam

Only 14 of the 51 kebab shops are in the centre, two of them on Oudebrugsteeg, the short lane between Damrak and Warmoesstraat: Kabab House and Kabab Corner. A dozen are in Nieuw-West and most of the rest in West, Zuid and Oost. On Nieuwendijk, Kebab Show lists halal food and delivery, and its reviews mention kumpir, lentil soup and kapsalon, the Dutch tray of fries, döner meat, melted cheese and salad. The Döner Company has three outlets, on De Ruijterkade and on the station squares at Sloterdijk and Amstel. Two-thirds of the shops that list a price are in the cheapest band, though Kebaphan on Osdorper Ban and Antep Kebap on Slotermeerlaan list €20–30 per person. Usta Kebap on Jan Evertsenstraat serves from 8 AM to 1 AM, and four shops, Dönerland Eethuis on Kinkerstraat among them, stay open until 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
