Late opening is the pattern in Messina: seven of its sixteen places stay open until 2 AM or later, and five until at least 4 AM. Messina Doner Halal Kebab on Via Garibaldi, one of eleven kebab shops here, serves from 10:30 AM until 4 AM, and Paninoteca Romolo's on Corso Cavour opens only at 7 PM and keeps going until 5 AM. Among the other non-kebab places, La Buona Forchetta, a takeaway on Via Santa Cecilia, is open from 8 AM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Saturday, and A' Truscia, also on Via Garibaldi, only at lunchtime. Eight of the kebab shops are listed as halal. Twelve of the sixteen places give prices of €1–10 per person; a burger and fried-food takeaway in Villaggio Annunziata lists the highest band, €10–30.
