Kebab & Döner in Messina

South Asian cooking runs through several of Messina's eleven kebab shops. Alì Babà Halal Kebab on Piazza dei Catalani puts Bangladeshi food in its name, and Kebab King on Via Giacomo Venezian and Ali Baba 2 on Via I Settembre are also listed for Indian food; eight of the eleven are listed as halal. Late opening is common, with six of the nine that list hours serving until 2 AM or later, but three keep earlier hours: Kebab King closes between 11 PM and midnight, Shan Kebab on Via Giuseppe La Farina at 10 or 10:30 PM, and Chicken House on Via Lago Grande, which also grills chicken, at 10:30 PM. Reviews of Shan Kebab mention choosing your own fillings. All but two list €1–10 per person.
