Fish & Seafood in Istanbul

Fish restaurants proper are rare here: only two of the thirteen are seafood restaurants by their Google category, and they keep very different hours. Fish Home on Ahırkapı Caddesi, below Sultanahmet, is open from 10 AM to 2 AM every day, and grilled sea bass comes up in its reviews; Balat Sahil on Mürselpaşa Caddesi by the Golden Horn opens at 1:30 PM, closes on Mondays and lists ₺2,000+ per person, with reviews centred on meze and rakı. Rainbow Fish & Meat in Cankurtaran and Saltanat Grill in Cağaloğlu split their menus between fish and meat, as their names say, and Divella Bistro pairs seafood, mussels especially, with wood-fired meat. The other eight are Turkish restaurants that also offer seafood, seven of them in Sirkeci and Sultanahmet; the exception is Resto Galata Terrace, a fourth-floor terrace in Unkapanı. All but one serve alcohol, and nine stay open until 1 AM or later.
