Kebab & Döner in Athens

In Greek grill shops, kebab usually means a skewer of spiced minced meat, served alongside souvlaki. Five of the six are in the suburbs. Σις κ΄ Μεις on N. Zervou in Kallithea, open from noon to midnight, Tuesday to Saturday, is the dearest at €10–15 per person. Kebab George on Ipirou in Agioi Anargyroi serves until 1 AM from Monday to Saturday, and Ιωνίαν Απόλαυσις in Nea Ionia until 2:30 AM, Tuesday to Saturday. Two are in Egaleo: ya κεμπάπ, open from 6 PM to 12:30 AM except on Sundays, and Komplé on Iera Odos, which keeps daytime hours. The exception is Abdullah Pita Kebab on Acharnon, nearer the centre, open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM at €1–5.
