Before I get on to the movies, I want to share some interesting facts about the “new” genius of cinema.

  • E-mail is not used by the director. When his assistant receives important mail, he copies it and forwards to him.
  • Hans Zimmer is almost the film director’s composer.
  • Jonathan Nolan, his brother, writes the majority of his screenplays.
  • Weekends are not a good time. This is in direct contrast to weekend shifts.
  • Tea addict. He travels everywhere with his hot tea thermos.
  • He uses his father’s typewriter to write his screenplays.
  • 8/10 movies are listed on the IMDb Top 250 List.

The Prestige / IMDb-8.5

Alfred and Robert were close friends when they started their careers as magicians in England. They share their shows together. Robert’s death during a performance ends their friendship. Robert is adamant that Alfred is responsible for his wife’s death. The two of them develop a fierce rivalry that will continue for many years.

A magic show has three parts. In the promise section, a magician shows an object to his audience. The Transformation section sees the wizard transform an ordinary object into something extraordinary in an unexpected way. He abruptly and shockingly ended his show in the final episode, Prestige. Here, the movie was divided into three parts like a magic show and finished in an unexpected – shocking way.

  • In one section, the film includes the rivalry between Nikola Tesla (left) and Thomas Edison (right). One is now buried on the dusty shelves history, but the name of the other has made it into the textbooks. This is the other information I have to share about the movie.
  • It is a tragedy. The magicians are skilled at deceiving their audiences.
  • A little more information: The baby who appears as Alfred’s infant is Christopher Nolan’s baby.

IMDb-8.8: Inception

Cobb is a dream thief. It steals secrets from the subconscious and enters people’s minds when they are most vulnerable. He was one of the most wanted spies thanks to this feature. His latest work goes wrong. To save himself and his team, he makes a deal. He should not take an idea from his subconscious, but rather place it.

To write the script for the movie, it took director ten years. It was difficult to create the dream team during this time. The filmmaking process was what he loved most, and he created the team. This account says that Cobb is the director, Arthur is the producer, Ariadne is the production designer, Eames is an actor, and Saito, the studio, Fischer, a spectator. The word “Dreams”, formed when the initials of the main characters in the movie are combined, is also possible.

The following is some additional information that I would like to share about the movie:

  • Hotel scenes without zero gravity were shot using no computer techniques. A set that can be rotated 360 degrees was created for this purpose.
  • The key to amazing special effects is the fact that the director edits the effect during the shoot and does not leave it until the post-production phase.
  • The Japanese version of the movie was released in Japan. It was written on the TV’s corner to indicate which layer the film was being shown in order to avoid any confusion.
  • Miranda Nolan, Christopher Nolan’s cousin and the flight attendant who brought water to Robert Fischer, is Miranda Nolan.

Dunkirk / IMDb-7.9

The Dunkirk Evacuation was a film about what happened during World War 2. It is widely believed that it changed the course and outcome of the war. Before we get into the details about the movie, I must briefly provide historical information.

British history is filled with the importance of the evacuation. The British army first landed on the continent in 1940, when Germany invaded France. The British, French and Belgian soldiers who couldn’t hold off the German army were unable to resist the military. They were stuck together with 400,000 people on the Dunkirk coastline. The slowdown of Hitler’s Nazi army caused a brief vacuum. 338,000 of these soldiers returned home to England, with a rescue operation including civilian boats. Although the reasons for the Nazis’ hesitation are not known, the British army’s escape is one of the key moments that changed the course of the war.

The film is made up of three parts: land-sea and land. The land section lasts one week, while the sea portion takes 1 day and the time for the air section is 1 hour. Three3 other characters are present at 3 different times and locations. This clever combination is at the very end of the movie. These three characters are not easy to connect with. We are not allowed to get to know these characters through the film. In the film, even proper dialogue is not used. The director apparently wanted to keep the movie’s focus on the war atmosphere and avoid any dramatic scenes.

While it’s a movie about war there isn’t one scene that shows blood and the horrors of enemy soldiers. The sounds of shouting, guns, clashes and shouting can be used to create an atmosphere of war. However, Nolan prefers to keep the scene quiet and add tension through music. In the background, “Tick Tock” sounds are constantly heard. This is a reference for time constraints.

The script of the film, which did not contain proper dialogue, was 76 pages long. The script was written by the director, who said in an interview that although it may appear complicated because of the details, his narration style will not be difficult. said.
